In a continuous double auction there are multiple sellers offering the same product. Multiple sellers in one auction allow the buyers to bid on several items at the same time. In a traditional auction, the buyer would have to decide which auction is going to close with the lowest price. If they did bid on multiple items they may end up winning more than one. At Xbidit the buyer is guaranteed to get the next lowest price for the item that matches their criteria.

Multiple buyers in one auction

In a continuous double auction there are multiple buyers bidding for the same product. Every bidder remains in the auction, even if they are out bid. This keeps all the buyers available for the next seller. The bidders do not need to rejoin another auction if they are out bid, they can stay at their bid or increase their bid.

Buyers can use bidding criteria

With Xbidit the buyer can set bidding criteria to only bid on the items in the auction they want, according to rating and delivery option. The buyer can set the seller rating they are willing to buy from. The buyer can also set the delivery option (shipped, pickup, or both) for the item they want to bid on.

Bids and asking prices can be adjusted at anytime

With Xbidit you have complete control of your price. If the demand is high you can beat the competition. If your needs change you can adjust your price and wait for a better price.

There is a built in buy-it-now feature

The asking price is essentially the buy it now price. If you match the asking price, you won the auction.

There is a built in sell-it-now feature

The multiple buyers and easy adjustment of the asking price allows the seller to "Sell it now", even if you aren't in the auction currently. Just join and sell your item now.

Auctions do not have time limits

In a continuous double auction there is not a time limit on the auction. This eliminates the sniper problem that a traditional auction has.

No need for a reserve price

Since there is not a time limit, this also eliminates the reserve price problem. If you didn't get your price, just wait. No need to relist your item.

Freedom to enter or leave an auction at anytime

With a continuous double auction, since the auction never ends, the buyers or sellers can enter or leave an auction at anytime (see terms of use). There is only a commitment when a match is made. This gives you the opportunity to get the fairest price for buying or selling.

No final value fee

At Xbidit there is never a final value fee. This means more money in your pocket.
